If Brand New Day was sung at Song for Europe 2003, maybe it would have won but the key to a Eurovision winner has changed. UK's Eurovision record (1990-1999) 1990: Emma 6th 1991: Samantha Janus 10th 1992: Michael Ball 2nd 1993: Sonia 2nd 1994: Frances Ruffelle 10th 1995: Love City Groove 10th 1996: Gina G 8th 1997: Katrina and the Waves 1st 1998: Imaani 2nd 1999: Precious 12th The UK came in the Top 12 for 9 years. Since 2000, more countries have taken part and we're losing our touch. Javine's entry has got the taste of the east so hopefully we'll get a respectful placing.
