Liverpool have been drawn against Welsh Premier League winner TNS Llansantffraid in the UEFA Champions League First Qualifying Round. This isn't the only tie involving clubs from the UK and the Republic of Ireland, Northern Irish club Glentoran will face Dublin side Shelbourne. SPL runner up Celtic will face the winners of the FC Kairat Almaty v FC Artmedia Bratislava tie.
