At 21.25 BST this evening players of Inter and AC Milan were taken off the pitch due to missiles which contained fire were thrown on to the pitch and one of them hit one of the two goalkeeper. The game was abandonned.

the flare hit dida and loads of others came on the pitch from inter fans.
They tried to restart the match but after 30 seconds it happened again.
Inter deserve all they get imo

I know it's unusual to quote from myself but I've been listening to Radio 5 Live and a pundit said that this is common in Italy and the police/stewards don't want to search fans and/or protect the fans. He heard a suggestion about banning Italian clubs for 5 years, that's too harsh IMO but I wouldn't be suprised if one day there is a fire at one of Italy's main club stadium. We English have learnt from our mistakes however unfortunate they've been e.g Hillsborough but if Italian football's not going to copy a fellow UEFA members' example they'll have to take the consequences.
