Seats Labour: 0 Conservative: 0 Liberal Democrat: 485 Other: 162
Liberal Democrats win a majority of 323

dunno how that works, 485 seats for something like 4 votes That would be the result if only 4 people voted using the PR system.

Would be interesting to see who would win if you used a ranking system of voting,
i.e. You are given the list of parties e.g. and are asked to allot say 5 points to your preference, then 4 to your second preference and so on.
This would make for less discrete results, but more idea of who we prefer out of the two main parties.
EG - my preferences Green = 5 Lib Dem = 4 Respect = 3 Labour = 2 Conservative = 1 BNP = Minus 10 or whatever

i wud have voted green 2 but they'd neva get nepower so don't reli c the point in votin esp in this area. the conservatives win evritym!

You put the candidates in order of preference. If Candidate 1 doesn't recieve more than 50% of the vote, your vote is transferred to Candidate 2. Whoever has more than 50% of the vote is the winner.
