you're not a member of the BNP are you? LOL trouble Is mate, most of them and their families have been here longer than us..................and where do you draw the line? doesn't stop you popping down to the local chinese for a take away I bet does it? and I know Its strange when our best boxer at the moment has the surname of Khan and one of our best cricketers has a south african accent....................but thats life now....................live and let live.................Its Just I wish the PC brigade at the government and local councils would send a bit of It our way!!! I don't mind the Chinese takeaway, as they don't ask me to change how I live. I don't mind Pietersen or Khan 'cause they don't tell me not to fly the English flag. I mind the people who come over to OUR country, then try and make US change to accomodate THEM, I think you'll find thats our soft touch government and the PC brigade mate and not the people themselves!! I doubt theres an efnic In the country that would be offended by someone having the st george cross hanging out of their window during the world cup.................but try telling that to stiffs In suits who work at our local councils!!

don't no if u realise but that sounds really racist! hu r u classin as british? its not ''OUR'' country! we've had the normans and the romans and many other groups in this country! so wot constitutes british! i don't think u realise the persicution some of these people face in their own countries especially asylum seekers! some prefer to commit suicide than return to their own countries!
did u realise that only around 8% of the population is of ethnic origin or that there was never a problem with them before the 70's/80's! in fact before then they were being encouraged to come to britain to take all the jobs that other people didn't want!
i can see your point about xmas lights and england flags but like monkey says i don't think that its the people themselves that have a problem with it. i think it comes from the government more than anything.

I see where you coming from GDG . I believe myself that there are good and bad in all races. As a Christian though it really annoys me when they have to call Christmas different names like Lumos for example in Luton and you can't send nivity cards because a certain section of the muslims complained. This country is a Christian country and as other religions practice there festivals surely we can practice ours?

It's not the 'British' brits at fault, nor is it the the fault of the minority brits, and its not even the fault of the government in general. It's the fault of the people who make the stupid decisions about this sort of thing. People who are so far down the government pecking order that they just want to make a name for themselves by causing a bit of controversy. I can't remember which council did it but I think they got it right, they called the lights the 'Winter Lights' and they ran them all the way through Eid, Diwali and Christmas. This lets everyone get included, and it isn't insulting to anyone
